, 34, is mixing business with pleasure when it comes to his new CEO position at .

“I bought it for two reasons: My company, the Endeavor Companies, is always looking for interesting private equity and real estate transactions; from an emotional standpoint and personal standpoint, basketball has been my life," the Deerfield resident said.

"I’ve grown up on the North Shore and basically saw an opportunity here,” he added.

His father, Howard "Hersh” Carl, played in the NBA for the Chicago Packers, which moved in 1963 and now goes by the name of the Washington Wizards. His brother, Adam, played for the University of Wisconsin, and Josh was named Conference MVP while on Glenbrook North’s basketball team.

So, Joy of the Game was a natural fit for Josh.
