VIDEO: What's with the Hairdo? Swimmers Gear Up for Conference Meet

Warriors look to finish season strong, get revenge over rivals in CSL North conference swim meet.

The boys swim team hopes for a bit of deja vu as their season comes to an end.

Last year, the Warriors lost to rival Highland Park in a conference duel meet, but then came back to top the Giants in the Central Suburban League North conference meet.  This year, they hope for the same result, after falling to the Giants earlier this season.

"HP beat us at the duel and I think that was probably the highlight of their season," Deerfield senior Jack Mercola said.  "Last year they beat us at the duel meet and we came back and took them at conference.  So that's something I would really like to repeat.  And hopefully we can take them again at sectionals just to get them scared for next season."

Deerfield finished their regular season duel meet schedule with a last Friday and finished 2-3 in the CSL North.  The Warriors look to carry that momentum into the conference meet on Saturday.  Highland Park will host the meet with diving starting at 9:30 a.m. and swimming events starting at 1:00 p.m.
