Warriors Star Performers:   Ben Browdy and Xander Horwtiz had two home runs each. Browdy was 2 – for – 3 with a pair of RBI. 

Other Notable Warrior Performances:       Dillon Wallace struck out six Vikings for fifth win of the year while Mac Levin threw two innings in relief.

Who’s Next:   The Warriors travel to Waukegan at 10 a.m. Saturday. 

The Bottom Line:      Browdy and Horwitz knocked the ball out of the park to tie the game and then give Deerfield a lead. The Warriors are now 15-8 for the season and 7-5 in the Central Suburban League North Division where they trail Glenbrook North by two games with a pair of contests against the Spartans next week. 

Volleyball 

The Final Score:        Deerfield defeated Niles North, 25-23, 25-21. 

Warriors Star Performers:   John Harlan recorded eight kills, 10 digs and 2.5 blocks while Eli Schmidt had seven kills, three digs and 1.5 blocks. Jordan Fine set things up with 27 assists and three digs. 

Other Notable Warrior Performances:       Kenison Ready had eight kills while Eric Slepian added seven. Adam Nadler killed the ball three times and dug it out five while Jake Brody had 13 digs. 

Who’s Next:   The Warriors compete in the Evanston Invitational at 9 a.m. Saturday. 

The Bottom Line:      Deerfield is 23-4 for the season and 8-2 in the Central Suburban League North Division.
