Warrior Wrestlers Advance to State Finals
Three Deerfield High School wrestlers will compete this week in Champaign for the state title.
Feb. 9
Warriors Star Performers: Andrew Mehrholz (106), Ari Sapinsley (152), and Jim Kirby (195) all advanced from Sectionals to the State Finals. Mehrholz finished first in his division, Sapinsley fourth and Kirby fourth.
Other notable performances: Colton Emmerich (170) finished fifth in his division, just short of qualifying.
