Farmer’s Market Opens Saturday

Variety of foods and other items will be featured each Saturday through October 17.

Deerfield’s Farmer’s Market opens at 7:30 a.m. Saturday in the railroad station parking lot near the intersection of Robert York Avenue and Deerfield Road featuring fresh produce, flowers, music and a lot more.

The market will operate from 7:30 a.m. through 12:30 p.m. each Saturday through Oct. 17, according to information contained on the Village’s website.

People can buy seasonal vegetables and fruit grown by farmers in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin. Some are organic and naturally grown, according to the website. There will also be fresh-cut flowers and potted flowering plants.

Also available are baked breads, muffins and cookies as well as hand-crafted Wisconsin cheese, maple syrup and honey, according to the website.
