Police Defend Grill Off Title Against New Foe

Deerfield and Bannockburn Police Departments will see who can grill the best burger Saturday at Whole Foods.

The opponent will be new but the object the same when the Deerfield Police Department goes for a three peat in the annual Grill Off from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in front of Whole Foods.

After besting the Deerfield Bannockburn Fire Protection District the last two years, the Deerfield Police will be up against the Bannockburn Police Department this year. The biggest winner may turn out to be the Illinois Special Olympics. All money raised will go toward that cause.

Anyone who wants to cast their vote need only arrive at Whole Foods during the scheduled time Saturday, pay $6 for a plate of burgers and decide which one demonstrates the best taste, appearance and team spirit.
