Lake Cook Road Project Is 90% Done

Early completion of construction work expected.

Construction on Lake Cook Road between Deerlake and Ellendale Roads is 90 percent complete and is expected to be finished before the Oct. 26 deadline, according to an email from Deerfield-Bannockburn-Riverwoods Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Victoria Street.

“Concrete roadway patching and pavement reconstruction is 90% complete on Lake Cook Road,” Street wrote in the email. “The contractor is working on loose ends this week to prepare for permanent pavement marking by the end of the week.”

Work on Waukegan Road is progressing as well. That part of the project is 87 percent complete and pavement marking begins Tuesday, according to Street. The pavement marking and laying of asphalt are expected to cause delays on Waukegan Road.
