Rep. Drury Calls Meeting on Highwood Gambling
State representative, Highwood mayor and others will participate in forum Wednesday. Village will observe Veterans Day Monday.
Gambling Forum Set Wednesday
With Highwood poised to pass legislation Nov. 19 allowing video gaming in any willing establishment with a liquor license, state Rep. Scott Drury (D-Highwood) will hold a forum on the subject at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Midwest Young Artists Studio.
Drury will host the forum with Highwood Mayor Charlie Pecaro and local business owners. Members of the Highwood City Council have been invited. The public will be able to ask questions.

Deerfield Honors Its Veterans
Deerfield will hold its annual Veterans Day observance at 11 a.m. Monday at Jewett Park. The event, as it traditionally has been, is put together by the Deerfield American Legion Post.
