Village Board Votes on Tax Hike Monday
Improvement of former Woodfire Restaurant building is also on Board of Trustees' Agenda.
A final vote on Deerfield’s proposed increase of the real estate tax levy for 2014 is scheduled when the Village Board of Trustees meets at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Village Hall.
If approved, the levy will cost the owner of a $500,000 home in Deerfield $20 more than was paid this year, according to Finance Director Eric Burk. The proposed 2014 budget was given its final okay Nov. 18.
Also on the agenda will be a proposed ordinance enabling Charles Ifergan to improve his property at 360-380 Lake Cook Road. Part of the building includes his salon and another part was the former Woodfire Restaurant. Plans call for a major renovation of the former eatery’s space.
