Farmers’ Market Gets a Boost Saturday

Service Day Joins Farmers’ Market

When you go to the Farmers’ Market Saturday, make sure you get there between 9 a.m. and noon so when you’re done shopping you can walk across the parking lot to Jewett Park for the 10th annual Community Service Day. See some of the things the Deerfield Park District, Deerfield Police Department and the Deerfield Bannockburn Fire Protection District have to show you. The Farmers’ Market will operate during its usual hours of 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Warriors Head to New Trier

Before going to the Farmers’ Market Saturday, don’t miss the Deerfield High School football team at 7:30 p.m. Friday against New Trier in Northfield. The Warriors will be trying to improve their record to 2-3.

Northbrook Court Offers Job Fair

More than 50 businesses will be setting up shot at job fair from 1 to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Northbrook Court. There will also be human resources experts to help job seekers with their resumes.

Glow in the Dark While Playing Golf

Have you ever tried to play golf in the dark? You get your chance with glowing balls and a lot of glow sticks as part of the Deerfield Park District’s annual Moonlight Golf Outing benefiting the Deerfield Parks Foundation Friday. There will be dinner as well and the fun starts with check-in at 5:45 p.m. with the five holes of golf at the Deerfield Golf Club lasting until 10:30 p.m.
