The Deerfield Public Library is a rich resource, a popular gathering place, and vibrant community center. In addition to lending e-books, print books, audiobooks, e-audiobooks, periodicals, DVDs, Blu-rays, video games and CDs almost half a million times a year , special features include free Internet access and Microsoft Office programs on computers throughout the building, fast, free WiFi for patrons with wireless devices; express computers for the quick checking of email; a fully-equipped computer lab and an expansive quiet area for work and study.
Small study rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis and four meeting rooms are available free-of-charge to eligible, local, not-for-profit groups. We provide free one-on-one training sessions to help people download e-books and e-audio books to their e-readers or other devices, and offer free cultural, educational and recreational programs for adults, teens, children and families. These include lively book discussions, early literacy programs, dynamic presentations, and engaging performances. Our professionally-trained research staff goes beyond Google to answer thousands of reference questions each year, recommend books, help people download free e-books, proctor exams and more.
