DHS Students Clean Up for a Day
Earthworks members clean up Glencoe Beach a part of Adopt-A-Beach program.
A group of 27 young people from Earthworks, an organization of Deerfield High School students, went to the beach Sept. 15 in Glencoe but it was not for fun and games, according to a news release from Township High School District 113. The students were there to clean up the Glencoe Beach as part of the Adopt-A-Beach program sponsored by the Alliance for the Great Lakes. They did more than clean as they collected water samples and other data for scientific purposes. The information goes to the Alliance for further study.
