Letter to the Editor: Support Feiger’s Township Slate

State Sen. Julie Morrison (D-Deerfield) backs Democratic slate for Township offices.

For nearly sixteen years, I had the honor to serve our community as the West Deerfield Township Supervisor. In that capacity, we worked to deliver high quality services for our residents in a fiscally responsible manner. As I witness first hand the difficult decisions our state will have to make and the impact they will have on our local bodies of government, I see that it is more important now than ever that we have strong leaders in our local offices. Feiger Becomes West Deerfield Supervisor

West Deerfield Township Board names Alyson Miller Feiger to replace Julie Morrison as Township supervisor.

Alyson Miller Feiger became the West Deerfield Township Supervisor Thursday, one day after her predecessor, state Sen. Julie Morrison (D-Deerfield), became a member of the Illinois General Assembly. Feiger will serve the remainder of Morrison’s tenure and run for a four-year term of her own April 9 against Jack Koenig of Bannockburn, a Republican. Feiger is a Democrat. State law requires in circumstance like this a member of the same party become the interim office holder.
