Driver Flees After Police Stop, Officer Gives Chase

The following arrest information was supplied by the Bannockburn Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Karlene Lesh of Barrington Hills was arrested Sunday for driving under the influence of alcohol, fleeing and eluding and improper stopping after a high speed chase on the Tri-State Tollway, according to Bannockburn Police reports.  Police first encountered Lesh as she was stopped in her vehicle in an eastbound lane on Half Day Road near Lakeside Drive, according to the report. After stopping her, police noticed a strong odor of alcohol on her breath. When the officer asked her to step out of the automobile, she “put her car in drive and took off,” entering the Tollway.  Police followed Lesh onto Interstate 94 driving at speeds up to 100 miles per hour. Indictment Expected for Armed Robbery Suspects

Three men accused of holding up a Deerfield merchant make court appearance.

The three men charged with armed robbery and kidnapping in connection with the attempted hold up of a Deerfield cellular telephone store April 8 are expected to be indicted on the charges within a week, according to Assistant Cook County State’s Attorney Christina Kye. Earlier: Police Arrest Armed Robbery Suspects After Chase Lavell Hughes, 41, of Hazel Crest, Tony Johnson, 20, of Harvey and Andre Wadlington-Anthony, 28, of Harvey appeared before Judge Marguerite Quinn today for a status hearing in the Skokie branch of Cook County Criminal Court. Kye asked Quinn to continue the case to May 7. “We expect a return of an indictment by that date,” Kye said. Wadlington-Anthony, Johnson and Hughes will return to court at 10:30 a.m. May 7 in …

Police Make Traffic Stop, Discover Gun

The following arrest information was supplied by the Bannockburn Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Jesus Guerrero, 23, of University Place, WA, was arrested Saturday for unlawful possession of a firearm and disobeying a traffic control device, according to Bannockburn Police reports.  Police observed Guerrero driving on Telegraph Road where he brought his car to a stop beyond the white stop line at both Wilmot Road and Duffy Lane. After making the stop, police saw a black plastic case on the floor board which was believed to be a gun case. Guerrero admitted to having a firearm and ammunition with him. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 10:30 a.m. July 2 in Park City.  Police Blotter information is provided by local law enforcement agencies. Erratic Driving Leads to DUI Arrest

The following arrest information was supplied by the Bannockburn Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

DUI  Julie Olnas, 24, of Lake Bluff was arrested Friday for driving under the influence of alcohol, disobeying a traffic control device and driving with one headlight, according to Bannockburn Police reports.  Police observed Olnas in the left turn lane of Half Day Road making a southbound turn onto Waukegan Road “completely over the while stop line,” according to the report. She disobeyed the red turn arrow and was seen weaving in her lane.  Olnas failed field sobriety tests and had a blood alcohol level of .138, according to the report. She was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 9 a.m. May 8 in Waukegan.  Driver’s License Infractions  Jamie Sartin, 34, of Highwood was arrested Saturday for driving while license …

Dark Tinted Lights Lead to Marijuana Arrest

The following arrest information was supplied by the Bannockburn Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Daniel Lyons, 27, and Patrick O’Reilly, 25, both of Chicago, were arrested Friday for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Bannockburn Police reports. Lyons was also cited for unsafe equipment and a defective windshield.  Police spotted Lyons driving eastbound on Half Day Road in the vicinity of Telegraph Road and observed “dark tinted tail lights,” according to the report. After stopping Lyons, the driver, and O’Reilly, the passenger, police smelled a strong odor of cannabis coming from both the car and them.  A further search of the vehicle uncovered a green leafy substance believed to be cannabis as well as drug paraphernalia. Lyons and O’Reilly were released on bond and will appear in Lake County …

Woman Seeks Help, Gets Arrested

The following arrest information was supplied by the Bannockburn Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Shukura Tartt, 34, of Chicago was arrested April 1 for driving while license suspended and driving an uninsured motor vehicle, according to Bannockburn Police reports.  Tartt was driving on Half Day Road when she pulled to a stop by a police car with an officer inside, according to the police, according to the report. She was seeking directions. Upon checking, police learned Tartt’s license and she did not have insurance in place. Police Arrest Armed Robbery Suspects After Chase

Officers from Deerfield and Bannockburn apprehend three suspects after chase on foot.

Three men were taken into custody by Deerfield Police tonight after a chase by car and foot after a reported armed robbery, according to a news release by the Deerfield Police Department and information provided by Bannockburn Police Chief Ron Price. The case was handled by Deerfield Police with assistance from other departments including Bannockburn, according to Price. Deerfield Police received a 911 call at approximately 7:41 p.m. reporting an armed robbery in progress at the T-Mobile store located in the 100 block of South Waukegan Road, according to the release. Missing License Plate Leads to Arrest

The following arrest information was supplied by the Bannockburn Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Miguel Perez-Torres, 48, of Bellwood was arrested Thursday for driving with a revoked license, according to Bannockburn Police reports.  Police observed Perez-Torres driving a vehicle without a visible license place on the front of the truck, according to the report. After making the stop, police discovered Perez-Torres’s license had been revoked and this was the sixth stop since the loss of driving privileges.
