New Trier star and Northwestern grad now competing for spot on Chicago Sky.
Amy Jaeschke was a McDonald's All-Amercian in high school. She was an All-Big 10 performer in college. Now, she's a third round draft pick in the WNBA. "It's kind of become a joke with the people that I've grown up with," Jaeschke said. "That I'm not going to move out of my 25 mile radius of life." The former New Trier standout has gone from Winnetka, to Evanston, and now to Deerfield, the new practice home of the Sky. She's …

The Sky, which joined the WNBA in 2006, will use the Sachs Recreation Center as its practice facility after spending the last several years at an Athletico in Chicago. Pokey Chatman takes over as head coach for the Sky this season and is thrilled about the amenities that the Sachs Center will provide for her team. "When it comes down to it, we're going to win games in the practice facility," Chatman said.
