Driver Flees After Police Stop, Officer Gives Chase

The following arrest information was supplied by the Bannockburn Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Karlene Lesh of Barrington Hills was arrested Sunday for driving under the influence of alcohol, fleeing and eluding and improper stopping after a high speed chase on the Tri-State Tollway, according to Bannockburn Police reports.  Police first encountered Lesh as she was stopped in her vehicle in an eastbound lane on Half Day Road near Lakeside Drive, according to the report. After stopping her, police noticed a strong odor of alcohol on her breath. When the officer asked her to step out of the automobile, she “put her car in drive and took off,” entering the Tollway.  Police followed Lesh onto Interstate 94 driving at speeds up to 100 miles per hour. Cell Phone Use Leads to Arrest

The following arrest information was supplied by the Deerfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Driver’s License Infraction  Maria Isabel Soriano-Mendez, 33, of Highland Park was arrested Feb. 19 for driving without a valid driver’s license and driving while using a hand held cell phone, according to Deerfield Police reports.  Police observed Soriano-Mendez driving and talking on a cellular phone by her ear in the 1000 block of Deerfield Road, according to the report. After stopping her, police discovered she did not have a license. She was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 3 p.m. April 2 in Park City.  DUI  Douglas Kenney, 40, of Pacific Palisades, CA, was arrested Feb. 20 for driving under the influence alcohol, illegal possession of cannabis, illegal possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while license …

Police Blotter: Stunt Driving Leads to DUI Arrest and More

The following arrest information was supplied by the Deerfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

DUI  Floriberto Martinez-Ramirez, 24, of Highwood was arrested Jan. 21 for driving under the influence of alcohol, use of unsafe tires, no valid driver’s license and driving without insurance, according to Deerfield Police reports.  Police spotted Martinez-Ramirez driving in the vicinity of Lake Cook and Wilmot Roads with a “dust cloud” coming out of the vehicle, according to the report. After he drove “in a circular motion known as a donut” in a parking lot near the intersection, police stopped him discovering no tire on one of the front wheels. He was driving on the rim.  Once police asked Martinez-Ramirez to step out of the vehicle, the officer noticed an odor of alcohol coming from his breath, according to the report. Martinez-Ramirez …

Bannockburn Police Blotter: Sleeping Suspect Leads to DUI Arrest and More

Thomas Rogers, 32, of Brookfield, WI, was arrested Dec. 27 for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of drugs, unlawful possession of cannabis, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while license suspended and driving while registration suspended, according to Bannockurn Police reports.  Police discovered Rogers passed out in a car at 2000 Lakeside Drive in Bannockburn at 7:20 a.m., knocked on the window and smelled the odor of alcohol and cannabis when Rogers opened the door, according to the report. A search revealed cannabis and drug paraphernalia.  Rogers failed field sobriety tests and was recorded with a blood alcohol level of .133. Bannockburn Police Blotter: Deerfield Man Arrested for DUI

The following arrest information was supplied by the Bannockburn Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Aaron Pelletier, 35, of Deerfield was arrested Friday for driving under the influence of alcohol and disobeying a stop sign, according to Bannockburn Police reports.  Police observed Pelletier driving westbound on Half Day Road and turning southbound onto Telegraph Road and keeping less than a car length behind the vehicle in front of him, according to the report. After rolling through stop signs at Wilmot Road and Duffy Lane while straddling the on the solid yellow lines, police stopped Pelletier.  After making the stop, police smelled a strong odor of alcohol coming from Pelletier, according to the report. He failed field sobriety tests and tested for a blood alcohol level of .137. He was released on his own recognizance and will appear …

Police Blotter: Police Make Arrests for Resisting Officer, DUI and More

DUI, Obstructing/Resisting a Police Officer and other offenses  Shawn Billingslea, 30, of Waukegan was arrested Nov. 17 for driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol, speeding and improper lane usage, according to Deerfield Police reports. A passenger in the car, Nicole Antoinette Billingslea, 27, of Waukegan was arrested for obstructing/resisting a police officer and illegal transportation of alcohol by a passenger, according to the reports. Police observed Shawn Billingslea driving on Lake Cook Road when he veered to the right and across the driving lane at 50 miles per hour in a 40-mile per hour zone. Bannockburn Police Blotter: Speeding Leads to DUI Arrest and More

The following arrest information was supplied by the Bannockburn Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

  Randell Briem, 29, of Highwood was arrested for speeding, driving an uninsured motor vehicle, driving under the influence and illegally transporting open alcohol Sept. 1 at Half Day and Waukegan Roads, according to a Bannockburn police report. Briem was observed travelling eastbound on Half Day Road at 12:45 a.m., driving 59 mph in a 40 mph zone. Bannockburn police stopped Briem's vehicle, and observed a strong alcohol odor. After unsuccessfully performing field sobriety tests, the officer determined Briem was likely intoxicated. She refused a breathalyzer test and was taken into custody and placed in the back of the squad car.
