Photo Gallery: Farmers’ Market Draws Crowd in Heat

Civic groups join vendors selling fruits, vegetables and other wares.

While the Deerfield Farmer’s Market is stocked with fresh fruits and vegetables of the season, the community element of the event was on display Saturday. Each week one or more booths are reserved for civic groups, according to event coordinator Joan Reed. In the past, church, school and community organizations have taken a turn communicating their message.
