A Lake County Sheriff's deputy made a significant drug bust in Lake Villa, finding a woman in possession of heroin, cocaine and marijuana. Stacie Vickers, 38, of the 24000 Block of W. Forest Drive, Lake Villa, was driving southbound on Route 59 near Busse Lane on April 22 when she was stopped by a Lake County Sheriff’s deputy. The deputy smelled marijuana inside Vickers’ vehicle and conducted a search that produced 78.6 grams of marijuana, 9.4 grams of cocaine, 3 grams of heroin, drug paraphernalia and $1,062.00 in cash, according to a press release. Drug Arrests: Darold Richardson, 40, was taken into custody after police discovered a glass pipe on his bed along with several bags of marijuana. Police went to investigate an incident at 617 Waukegan Rd. on March 31. The homeowner, Richardson, questioned them about their presence. Officers reported that another resident invited them into the home, which was when they allegedly uncovered the cannabis. Authorities also said Richardson resisted arrest while he was being taken into custody. Along with drug charges he was slapped with an obstructing/resisting an officer charge. Drug Bust: On Feb. 5 officers noticed a man walking across Waukegan Road towards Deerbrook Mall. The Des Plaines resident identified himself as Michael Keane and said he was headed to Jewel for a beverage. After running his name through the Secretary of State’s database police discovered Keane had an extensive criminal history. Officers asked if they could search him and the 28-year old agreed. Authorities found a hypodermic needle in his pocket as well as a silver spoon with a white residue. Keane was charged for both. Police were tipped off on Feb. 7 about a suspicious vehicle with occupants possibly smoking marijuana inside.
