Heat Advisory Issued for Deerfield
Temperatures are expected to reach up to 101 degrees today, Tuesday, July 17.
The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for several counties in Illinois and Indiana including for Deerfield in Lake County from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. Temperatures Tuesday, July 17, are expected to reach 101 degrees and combined with the heat index (how hot it feels) could be as high as 110 degrees. To reduce risk during outdoor work the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments.
