When Deerfield High School three-sport athlete Christine Stitcher competes in the State Meet today in Palatine coached by Coach Carol Myers, it will be a farewell performance for both. Stitcher, also a diver and pole vaulter who will compete in the University of Notre Dame’s pool next year, will end a gymnastics career that has occupied more than two thirds of her young life.
