Lake County Residents Needed to Join Sheriff’s Reserve Deputy Unit
Applications will be accepted until Oct. 1.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Reserve Deputy Unit is a dedicated group of volunteers who assist the Sheriff’s Office sworn personnel on an emergency basis. Reserves may be called upon for a variety of reasons, including such things as directing traffic, searching for a missing person, or supplementing security for events such as the Lake County Fair. Reserves are uniformed civilians that are specially trained by the Sheriff’s Office to perform the duties required of them. A Reserve Deputy must have a flexible schedule and be able to respond immediately to a request for service. A prospective reserve deputy must meet the requirements listed below.
