Walmart Shows Interest in Northbrook

Retail giant will make proposal at next board meeting for bid for the lot near Skokie Blvd. and Dundee Rd.

Walmart will make its initial presentation for a store near the intersection of Skokie Blvd. and Dundee Road at Tuesday’s Northbrook Village Board meeting, according to Village President Sandy Frum. "I'm not cutting them off," Frum said at Pinstripes on Monday during the annual State of the Village presentation. "I want them to make their case, I want the community to make its case." The presentation by the retail giant will take place at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Northbrook Village Hall. This will be the closet Walmart store to Deerfield. The closet locations now are in Wheeling and Vernon Hills. To better keep up with Deerfield news, follow Patch on Twitter and Facebook.
