Police Blotter: Solicitors Caught After Fleeing Police and More

The following arrest information was supplied by the Deerfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Soliciting Without a License  Darrel Bea, 28, of Chicago and Richard Logan, 32, of Joliet were arrested Jan. 24 for soliciting without a permit, according to Deerfield Police reports.  As police approached Bea and Logan, they began to run away, according to the report. When police finally had the opportunity to confront them, they said they were selling candy for a basketball team and admitted to having no permit.  Upon further investigation, police learned Bea was given a previous warning by Deerfield Police for the same offense, according to the report.
