Police Blotter: Police Catch Fugitive and More

The following arrest information was supplied by the Deerfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Fugitive Apprehension  Sarah Cross, 24, of West Dundee was arrested Feb. 7 by Deerfield Police as a fugitive from justice for a 2009 retail theft charge, according to Deerfield Police reports.  Cross contacted police herself when she was locked out of her car in a building on Lake Cook Road. Police asked for her driver’s license to assure she should be in the car and a check showed she was wanted in McHenry County for a 2009 retail theft charge, according to the report.  Cross was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in McHenry County court at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in Woodstock.  Driver’s License Infractions  Noelia Hernandez, 23, of Chicago was arrested Feb. 3 for driving with a suspended license in the vicinity of Waukegan and …

Police Blotter: Stunt Driving Leads to DUI Arrest and More

The following arrest information was supplied by the Deerfield Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

DUI  Floriberto Martinez-Ramirez, 24, of Highwood was arrested Jan. 21 for driving under the influence of alcohol, use of unsafe tires, no valid driver’s license and driving without insurance, according to Deerfield Police reports.  Police spotted Martinez-Ramirez driving in the vicinity of Lake Cook and Wilmot Roads with a “dust cloud” coming out of the vehicle, according to the report. After he drove “in a circular motion known as a donut” in a parking lot near the intersection, police stopped him discovering no tire on one of the front wheels. He was driving on the rim.  Once police asked Martinez-Ramirez to step out of the vehicle, the officer noticed an odor of alcohol coming from his breath, according to the report. Martinez-Ramirez …
