Village Names Burk Finance Director
After six months in the role, Deerfield makes it official.
After six months as acting finance director for the Village, Eric Burk became Deerfield’s finance director at Monday’s Village Board of Trustees meeting. “I congratulate Mr. Burk on his outstanding service and leadership of the Village Finance Department that has led to his appointment,” Village Manager Kent Street said in a news release after making the announcement. Burk became Deerfield’s assistant finance director more than six years ago and took the reins on an acting basis when Finance Director Robert Fialkowski retired in July. He is both a certified public accountant and a certified public finance officer.
