Walgreen's Opens University Campus in Deerfield
Learning opportunities abound at the new Walgreen's University where employees can take advantage of more than 100 course offerings, some for college credit.
Deerfield-based Walgreen's has launched "Walgreen's U" to provide thousands of employees vast opportunities for professional growth. A ribbon-cutting for the new campus, located at 6 Parkway North in Deerfield, was held Feb. 22. The building, with technology-enhanced classrooms, a mock-drugstore and video-conferencing capabilities, will be the base of operations for employee educational programs offered online and in regional locations nationwide, reported Walgreen's in a press release.
