The completion of construction at the intersection of Half Day Road has cut collisions at the intersection of Waukegan and Half Day Roads in half, according to Bannockburn Police Chief Ron Price. The work between the Highland Park city limits and Interstate 94 has been scaling down over the last month. New lights at the busy intersection were turned on Sept. 7, according to Illinois Department of Transportation Consultant Gordon Snyder. Only landscaping remains to be finished.
