Voters elect Schwartz, Brown, Levitsky and Strom Trustees.

Boomer, you are right. Township government is obsolete anyway. The county asses our property to. Pace has transport service, and so on. Everything this outdated layer of government is a complete waste. It is time that we wake up and abolish it and save us the extra tax. What a total waste of resources. It is beyond time to completely do away with this layer of unneeded government.   more ›

Early voting closes at 2 p.m. Saturday with election Tuesday.

Deerfield voters will choose members of the Village Board of Trustees, the Deerfield Public Schools District 109 Board of Education and West Deerfield Township officials during thye municipal contests Tuesday. Early voting ends at 2 p.m. today and the polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday. Candidates Campaign in Downtown Deerfield

Contenders for six offices greet voters in downtown Deerfield Saturday.

With the April 9 election a week away, candidates were busy meeting voters Saturday and doing some voting of their own. Mayor Harriet Rosenthal, who is unopposed in her bid for reelection, hosted an event Starbucks Saturday morning along with her Village Board slate—incumbents Alan Farkas, Mary Oppenheim and Barbara Struthers. For nearly sixteen years, I had the honor to serve our community as the West Deerfield Township Supervisor. In that capacity, we worked to deliver high quality services for our residents in a fiscally responsible manner.
