Vehicle Collision Leads to Arrest

Driver’s License Infractions Merbil Mancilla, 39, of Wheeling was arrested May 6 for driving without a valid license, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and driving an uninsured motor vehicle, according to Deerfield Police reports. Mancilla was involved in a collision in the vicinity of Deerfield Road and Jonquil Terrace, according to the report. While investigating the crash, police learned she did not have a license. She was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 1:30 p.m. June 4 in Park City. Criminal Damage to Property Profanity was scratched into a car parked outside a residence in the 1100 block of Elmwood on May 11, according to Deerfield police reports.
