3rd Annual Fair Trade Gift Boutique

Christ United Methodist Church Deerfield is hosting its 3rd Annual Fair Trade Gift Boutique featuring items handcrafted by women and men in developing countries.  The sale proceeds go directly to the artisans, thereby increasing their ability to purchase needed improvements in health, housing and education, while decreasing their vulnerability to human trafficking, HIV/AIDS, and violence.

Everyone is invited to shop!  You'll find items eclectic to exquisite, created from natural, recycled and sustainable materials.  Featured are jewelry, scarves, handbags, apparel, housewares, soaps, ornaments, home décor items and more.  This year's vendors include Ten Thousand Villages, Five Accessories, Equal Exchange, Artisans of Ghana, Red Bird Mission, Bead for Life, Sandpiper Imports and Indigenous Artworks.

This is a wonderful opportunity to treat yourself, your friends and family, and to help these men and women break out of poverty at the same time.

The event will be held Saturday, Nov. 9th from 9:00 - 3:00 and Sunday, Nov. 10th from 11:30 - 2:00  at  Christ United Methodist Church Deerfield, 600 Deerfield Rd., Deerfield, IL.  www.christumcdeerfield.org.   Parking is available at the corner of Deerfield Rd. and Rosemary Terrace.
