“Collecting new and gently used children’s books is a fitting way to say thank you to a retiring educator whose four decades in education has included work as a reading specialist, classroom teacher in many grades, high school PE teacher, principal, and superintendent,” Kedjidjian said in an email.
Coordinators at each of the District’s schools will be overseeing the effort and communicating with the community. “When you head to school, don’t forget to bring a book or two (dozen),” Kedjidjian said.
