District 109 Schools Get Technology Grant

Deerfield Education Foundation approves $70,000 for I-Pads at Village's elementary schools.

Each library at Deerfield Public Schools District 109’s four elementary schools will receive 25 new I-Pads as the result of a $70,000 grant from the Deerfield Education Foundation, according to a news release from the Foundation.

With the newest grant, the Foundation has now approved more than $100,000 of non taxpayer money for the six schools within the District.

The I-Pads will “empower research activities, group learning, artifact production, eBook creation, and audio and camera features to extend learning with multimedia,” according to the release. This grant is part of the commitment of the Foundation to science, technology and engineering.
