Invasion of the Pumpkins, Week 2

With the second week of Deerfield’s invasion of giant pumpkins, the Jesse White Tumblers will be rolling around them at 1 p.m. Saturday at Deerfield Square. There will also be a car show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and music from a deejay from noon to 3 p.m. as well as children’s activities like face painting and pumpkin painting. The movie, Monsters, Inc., will be shown in a tent at 7 p.m.

Men’s clothier Robert Vance, Ltd. officially opens Saturday with a trunk show for custom made shirts.

Farmers’ Market Closes for Season

Deerfield’s Farmers’ Market will hold its final session from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday just east of the downtown train station.

Follow Deerfield Runners in the Chicago Marathon

There will be a delegation from Deerfield competing along with thousands of other runners at 7:30 a.m. Sunday in the annual Chicago Marathon. Follow your favorite runner here.

Warriors Travel to Maine West

It will be Warriors against Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Friday when Deerfield High School’s football team tackles Maine West. There is plenty of other Deerfield sports action this weekend as well.
